After 25 years in the appraisal business working for other appraisal firms in the Twin Cities, Mr. Wall formed his own company in April 2004 as Steven Wall Appraisal Services, Inc. specializing in the appraisal of Machinery and Equipment, Trade Fixtures for eminent domain relocations, and Special Purpose and Agri-business Properties (both real estate and machinery and equipment). He received the ASA designation (Accredited Senior Appraiser) from the American Society of Appraisers, the Machinery and Equipment discipline, in 1987, and the MAI designation (Member Appraisal Institute - Real Estate) from the Appraisal Institute in 1993.
His client base is made up accountants, attorneys, financial officers, and business owners requiring appraisal services for acquisition/sale purposes, purchase price allocations, eminent domain, ad valorem tax appeals, and financing. Because real estate and machinery and equipment can be appraised using different value premises, Mr. Wall devotes time with clients explaining the Scope of the Appraisal, the different value premise definitions and when they are used. His mission statement is simply to provide clients with complete accurate appraisals in a timely manner.
